Sharp copiers in Brisbane and South East Queensland
Sharp MX multifunction copiers have long been a staple of Australian offices, and many of the machines available used or ex rental come from the MX x071 generation and the generations before it. We arrange hire, monthly rental and used or ex rental Sharp copiers across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
This page lists all 34 Sharp models we deal in across 8 series, from 26 to 60 pages per minute. Colour and black and white models are listed side by side, with the MX x071 range, the MX x070 range, the entry 2630 pair and older N models.
Use the speed finder to match a model to your printing, open the table to compare every model, then ask us for a quote. Each model has its own page, and we can suggest an alternative if the exact one is not free.

Colour or black and white Sharp copiers
21 of the 34 Sharp models here are colour and 13 are black and white. Colour suits proposals, marketing, plans and anything a customer sees. Black and white costs less per page and suits internal documents, forms and high volume printing.

Hire it, rent it or buy it used
Three ways to get a Sharp, with delivery, installation and support handled for you.
Short term hire
A Sharp for days, weeks or a few months. Good for events, projects, temporary offices and covering a breakdown. No long contract.
Short term photocopier hireMonthly rental
One monthly payment with delivery, installation, servicing and support in the arrangement. Move to a different model if your volumes change.
Photocopier hire and rentalUsed and ex rental
Buy a used, refurbished or ex rental Sharp outright. Machines come from our hire and service work and are checked before sale.
Used and ex rental copiersHow it works
From first call to a working copier.
1 Choose the Sharp
Tell us what you print, whether you need colour and how long you need the copier. We suggest a model and send a quote.
2 We deliver and install
We deliver, install and connect the copier to your network, set up printing and scanning, and show your team how to use it.
3 We look after it
Servicing and support stay with us for the length of the hire. If a copier needs attention, call us and we arrange it.
Used and ex rental Sharp copiers, checked before sale
Used and ex rental copiers cost much less than new and are a sound choice for most offices. Our machines come from hire and service work, and each one is checked before it is sold. We tell you the condition and what service arrangement suits it.
- Colour and black and white A3 models in a wide range of speeds
- MX x071 range plus older generations that cost less used
- Entry models at 26 pages per minute through to 60 pages per minute
- Delivery, network setup and support on hire
Short term Sharp hire by the week or month
Need a copier for an event, a project, a busy season or while yours is being repaired? Hire a Sharp by the week or month with no long contract. Tell us the dates and the model or speed you want, and we confirm whether it is free.
If the exact model is out, we offer the closest match, such as the next model up or down in the same series.
Swap or upgrade your Sharp as your business changes
Print volumes change. If you outgrow a copier or find you bought more machine than you needed, we can move you to a faster or slower model in the same series. Hire and rental arrangements are built so you can change model without being locked in.
If you own a used copier and want something different, ask what we can do.
Sharp buying and hiring guide
What to know before you choose a Sharp.
- An M in the model number marks a black and white machine, so the MX-M3070 is mono and the MX-3071 is colour. The digits follow the speed class.
- The MX x071 range has a 10.1 inch touchscreen, and the older x070 and N models cost less used.
- Sharp lists colour Essentials models alongside the standard colour range. They share the same family look.
- If you print mostly black and white, a mono MX-M model is usually the cheaper way to run.

If another supplier has quoted you on one of these machines, send us the quote or call. We will quote the same model, or a better fit for what you print, on hire, rental, lease or used, with no five year lock in. Email it to info@photocopierhire.com.au or put the model and price in the form.
Questions about Sharp copiers
How much does it cost to hire a Sharp photocopier?
It depends on the model, how long you need it, how many pages you print and whether you want colour or black and white. A few days for an event is priced differently to a rolling monthly rental. Tell us what you need and we will quote it. The hire prices page explains what moves the price.
Can I rent a Sharp copier monthly instead of buying it?
Yes. Monthly rental puts delivery, installation, servicing and support into one payment, and you can move to a different model if your volumes change. Ask us for a monthly rental price on the Sharp you have in mind.
Do you sell used and ex rental Sharp copiers?
Yes. We sell used, refurbished and ex rental copiers as well as hiring them out. Stock changes, so ask whether the model you want is available now and we will tell you what we have or can source. Ex rental machines have been looked after on a service arrangement and are checked before they are sold.
Which Sharp model should I choose?
Start with how many pages you print. The 34 models here run from 26 to 60 pages per minute in A4. The slower models suit small offices, and the faster ones suit busy teams and print rooms. Use the speed finder on this page, or tell us what you print and whether you need colour and we will match a model.
Can I hire a Sharp copier for a few days?
Yes. Short term hire covers events, temporary offices, seasonal peaks and breakdown cover, subject to the model being free for your dates. If the exact model is not free we offer the closest match.
Will it work on my office network?
Yes. On hire we install the copier on your network, set up printing and scan to email, and show your team how to use it. We confirm the setup for your computers before delivery.
What does the M mean in a Sharp MX model number?
The M marks a black and white machine. The MX-M3070 is a 30 page per minute mono copier and the MX-3071 is the colour model in the same class.
Which Sharp suits a small office?
The 26 and 30 page per minute models suit a small office. We can suggest a model if you tell us how much you print and whether you need colour.
Are older Sharp MX copiers worth hiring?
Often yes. Older MX models are a lower cost way to get a reliable A3 copier, and we tell you the condition of the machine we supply.
Do you have current Sharp copiers?
Our Sharp models are mostly earlier generations. If you want a current Sharp, ask us and we will tell you what we can source.
Where do you deliver Sharp copiers?
Across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, the Redlands, Toowoomba and up to Gympie. If you are a little outside those areas, call us and we will tell you what is possible.
No lock in
Hire it your way. No five year lock in.
Some leases and managed print contracts tie you to the same machine for five years or more. Hire is the flexible way to get a copier, and if it is not right, it can change.
Month to month
Hire for as long as you need the machine, whether that is a week, a month or a year. There is no five year term to sign up to.
Change it if it is not right
If the machine, your volumes or your plans change, tell us. Hire is flexible, so we can swap the model or adjust the arrangement. Ask us what notice applies.
Plain terms, in writing
We quote the machine, the term and what is included in writing before you commit. Delivery, installation and network setup are part of hire.
| Month to month hire | A long lease or managed print contract | |
|---|---|---|
| How long you commit | As short as you need | Often three to five years or more |
| If your needs change | Tell us and we adjust it | Often fixed until the term ends |
| Trying before you buy | Hire first, then buy the same machine if you like it | Check whether that is possible |
| Getting out | Ask us about notice before you start | Check the exit terms before you sign |
Want a lower monthly cost and sure you will keep the machine? Rental (12 to 36 months) and lease (36 to 60 months) are available too. We quote all of them side by side so you can choose.
